Okay gen question, how are you so good at anatomy? like I know its a mix of years of practice and experience. Mayhaps you can spare some tips on how ppl can improve theirs? Always looking forward to your works btw! Even the scribbles you think aren't decent are always such a nice treat to see <3
It being drilled into my system years ago in a drawing class specifically for that 😭 Then a character design class the next semester that added on top of it. BUT FOR CARTOONSSSSS (I have not accomplished anything in my life to utilize any of this.)
My main point of knowledge reference is this book though (OMG FREE INTERNET ARCHIVE PDF? Yes. Though I personally have a physical copy.) We didn’t really read the walls of text so much as just practiced the proportion stuff in the early pages ad-nauseam and some skeletons (not hyper detailed ones just making sure bones were where they should be). Tho admittedly I’ve been neglecting any studying. (This book came out in 1943 brrgh) DO YOU KNOW HOW MUCH I HAD TO DRAW THIS DIAGRAM? MORE THAN ANY PERSON SHOULD.
Tumblr media
But hey, it works. I still sometimes end up referring back to it if I think I’m sucking (disclaimer: i think this often )
As far as I’ve come to know, how something looks visually doesn’t matter so much long as basic proportions are correct. Cuz even people without trained eyes for this sorta thing can recognize when something is proportionately wrong. Like, I guess on you know where everything is supposed to go, you can kinda do anything from there?? I think. It translated well when we were drawing real people who were not the “ideal” presented, and when moving to more stylized stuff with their own rules in a completely different course. So what if that leg doesnt look exactly like u think a leg looks anatomically— IS THE KNEE IN THE CORRECT SPOT? Yes? Then u did it.
Also that eyes are in the center of the face. Not the nose. JUMPSCARE!!!
Aaaa, this isn’t really an interesting answer. If I ever figured out better streaming outside if private discords I could probably make my points better rather than pulling a “here’s a textbook, figure it out” CUZ ITS LIKE. ITS OVERWHELMING WITHOUT A GUIDE AND 😭😭😭
I don’t know. I don’t think I have “anatomy” correct, just “proportions.” Cuz I wouldn’t be able to tell you what something is, just where something goes. Which… I think is a little more important and also a distinction I don’t really see anyone making in drawing.
Though, as much as I wanna be helpful in a more effective way, it’s really really really hard for me to articulate how anyone could improve theirs if I don’t know what the alleged problem areas are 😭 I find all this stuff to be case by case. I kind of do better if i can directly point things out and offer info from there instead of blank slate tips. If I ever figure out streaming outside of private discords it would probably be easier (literally doesnt own a functional up to date enough computer)
I guess focus less on “anatomy” and focus more on proportions since that does more of the heavy lifting? Unless ur a med student, then you probably should focus on anatomy
someone could die because you couldnt identify their coccyx
OKAY THATS IT THANKS AND SORRY

How would one go about learning how to make something like the cactus?
Like prerequisites, older code, hardware stuff, etc.
The main prerequisites I can think of are being heavily interested in vintage computers, and having the drive to try and fail and then try again.
I started with building Grant Searle's design, borrowing from other working designs as I went. However, for the front panel? That's alot of time designing, learning, simulating in Logisim, and testing with physical logic gates to produce something 100% original and of my own design. I imagine most folks won't want to go to the trouble of designing an entire front panel state machine like I did.
The good news is that there are way more kits that can help teach the necessary skills than ever before! Most notably, Ben Eater's 6502 kit is a really great way to learn many of the things that I've put into practice here. He has a whole youtube video series associated with it, walking through concepts, construction, programming, etc. step by step. Even if you don't build one of his kits, watching them is an informative process. *I* learned alot, even after having built the Cactus.
If you're going the Z80 direction, the RC2014 series of kits can teach you plenty. There's also glitchworks kits in a few processor types, but those tend to be a bit more for the advanced user. There's the 1802 Membership Card but that's small and not really expandable. I could be here all day listing kits that can help teach and build up experience.
I should mention that I have a computer science degree in my back pocket, but learning logic gates or using assembly was only lightly touched on in the course of my studies. Most of the programming I do involved messing around in BASIC anyway.
I really didn't have a game plan for some of it, so alot of my learning process was trial and error. Alot of errors, in fact. Still making them, and learning from them. I also took the harder route to construction, since I didn't know how to use EDA tools for designing PCBs like KiCAD or Altium or Eagle (don't use Fritzing for the love of fuck).
Oh, one other thing I can recommend: reading through contemporary 1970s computing magazines like Byte (check the internet archive for back issues). There are all sorts of cool projects and ideas present that can really guide you. It doesn't hurt to have a copy of Don Lancaster's TTL Cookbook on hand (I think it's in PDF form online).
Finding a community to help you out is also a great idea. Even back in the 1970s, many folks who jump-started the home computer revolution had the Homebrew Computer Club to help them out. Community meetings to bounce ideas off of, and help one another through debugging are essential in my book -- you don't have to work in a vacuum. I've got a few places I've asked for help, most notably the Retrotech Crew discord server. I've had the benefit of friends who also have homebrewed designs like @techav, who have inspired me with their ideas, but helped me out with mine. In turn, as I've learned, I've been able to help out others.
Hopefully that answers your question. Keep 'em coming!

I don’t know if you are still answering writing questions, but if so, I’d love any advice on doing research for fiction writing. I have a background in science research, and I can do that just fine (with a university library), but I’m not really sure where to start if I want to find out things that will help me to write a time and place in a convincing way. Also, not sure where to look for this information without access to a university.
Thanks!
Science research and book research are not so different. Both involve a lot of reading, a lot of curiosity, a lot of critical thinking, etc. You probably already have the skills. :)
The next step would be to just start exploring and asking questions: What does it mean TO YOU to write a setting "in a convincing way"? Who are you aiming to convince, and what are the reasons that their convincedness is important? Who are some authors or books you've read that achieved the quality of Being Convincing? Go rummaging in some of the most effective scenes and see if you can take them apart and identify what parts are convincing YOU. By understanding your own internal mechanisms of Being Convinced, you are in a better position to then Be Convincing.
Also, give yourself some suspicious (but kind) squinting. I have known too many apprentice writers for whom an anxiety about doing enough research or "What if I can't be convincing" was hiding an underlying anxiety about writing in general, or of exposing themselves to the audience, or the perfectionist fear of making a mistake. So what? What happens if you make a mistake? What happens if you are not convincing? Is the answer somewhere in the neighborhood of, "Someone on the internet will be mad at me"? If it is.... Nah, don't worry about that yet. You're worrying about what the audience will think before the story is even written, and that will suffocate your creativity faster than anything. That is a problem for future-you. Present-you is allowed to just have fun and play. Yes, even if you mess up and make some mistakes. Yes, even if you are writing problematic tropes. No one has to see it. What you do in the privacy of your own home is nobody's business but yours. You have permission to write whatever you want.
BUT! Some research tips.
You are allowed to start with Wikipedia. I do it all the time. You search for something, you read 17 articles, and then you've got some basic ideas. This is just getting oriented. If you find something really interesting, dig into it deeper. Look at the citations, see if there are any interesting books that you can dig up.
After that: Regular libraries are also your friend. Those bad boys can fit so many books in them, and if they can't, then they have inter-library loan. Many libraries offer access to JSTOR and other academic sites if that's your vibe. Thriftbooks.com is your friend if you're looking to purchase nonfiction books on a budget. Also: Tumblr mutuals are your friend. Some friends work at universities and can slip you a couple PDFs under the table if you ask nicely. Other friends might coincidentally be nerds on the exact subject you want to know about. Ask for help! Make posts on tumblr or other social media sites saying, "Yo I am badly in need of someone who knows anything about 15th century textiles, does anyone want to infodump at me or recommend some good books about it?" You have no IDEA of the breadth of weird areas of expertise people will reveal if you talk about your interests in public and express a willingness to chat. I recently made a friend this way and it's great. I've heard you can also just straight-up email academics who write about the topics you're interested in and say "I'm writing a fiction book on this topic and I heard you're the expert, can I ask you some questions?" and make friends that way.
So there you go. But again, be SO SO SO SO CAREFUL of the impulse to do really exhaustive research for fiction -- I really cannot overstate how often "I haven't done enough research to [be allowed to] write this" is the excuse that people tell themselves because they're scared ACTUALLY STARTING. Yes, research is helpful and good to do. But you're allowed to just start. You're allowed to b messy and make mistakes. Nothing in writing is permanent until the thing is published. Everything can be revised. :) And no one is going to kill you for not being convincing enough. Go play! Have fun with it! Satisfy your human curiosity and then tell a good story!

heya! i have a question.
ive been drawing for about 13 years. im mostly self taught, so my art really isnt that great. but lately ive been really wanting to improve so i can feel confident enough in my art skills to be able to post online. in specific, i would really like to work on anatomy. and you're one of my favorite artists, so i wanted to ask you if you had any tips for learning anatomy!
thank you for your time (。・ω・。)ノ♡
you dont have to answer this if you dont want to!
Hi! Sorry this took so long to answer, I wanted to give it some thought and spend time on it.
Anatomy! It's a bit scary to delve into, but very fascinating to learn about. For me, the best way I've improved anatomy is by learning how to draw the specific parts of the body and learning how to combine them. This involves a lot of research!
My biggest resource is 'Basic Human Anatomy: an essential guide for artists' by Roberto Osti. When I was in art college, this was a book I had to get for my figure drawing class, and everyone (myself included) kept the book even after the class was over. Granted it's not the cheapest book in the world, but there's probably a pdf out there somewhere. The Morpho books are really good too, especially the one on drawing fat and skin folds (the internet's favorite and mine).
That being said, you can absolutely practice anatomy without a fancy college book.
What I've done for practicing anatomy is this: I find a diagram of either skeletal structures or muscular structures of either the whole body or a part of the body in particular. And then I copy (not trace, copy) them, noting where muscles attach to bone, how bone joints connect, the general shape of muscles and bone structures. One of the exercises I've enjoyed is using colored pencils to denote the different muscles, to REALLY get my head around what the muscles look like and how they work. Of course, it's best to start this off with a static T- or A-pose figure, but once you feel like you've got the hang of the general shapes of various body parts, you can apply that knowledge to dynamic poses.
Observing from life is a great way to improve too– if you have the opportunity to take a figure drawing class, I would absolutely take it. It's one of the best ways to learn how skin folds and how fat and skin and muscle and bone interact (with lighting too!). One of my local art supply stores hosts regular figure drawing classes, so it's good to look out for things like that! idk how old you are tho so if you're under 18 they probably won't let you in lol. But still, it's invaluable imo, to observe/draw from life if you have the chance.
Also, websites like adorkastock and fatphotoref are absolute godsends for dynamic pose references and fat body references!
Anyway, that was a lot of words, and I hope this helps? I never really know how to give art advice being mostly self taught myself. A lot of stuff just comes naturally to me, which is awesome, but leads to me not being able to put into words why I do things sometimes (and making silly mistakes). If you have any more questions about anatomy or art, though, I'd be happy to answer them :) And aa I hope u see this anon I feel bad for taking so long to answer!!!!

For the writing ask game!
11. what’s something neat you’ve learned while doing research for something you were writing? also, how much do you worry about doing research in general?
19. what are some books or authors that influenced your style the most?
Yay, thank you for the questions!! :) Sorry for the slower reply, I was out in the backcountry the last few days and am just now catching up on messages! 11. what’s something neat you’ve learned while doing research for something you were writing? also, how much do you worry about doing research in general? I'll answer the second part of this question first because I think it sets up my answer to the first part. How much do I worry about research in general? A lot. Probably way more than I ought to. I'm a grad student, and in grad school we do something called "quals" or "qualifying exams" where basically before you're allowed to go forth and do your dissertation, you undergo a three hour oral exam where you have to prove that you've read all the literature that pertains to your project and that your project is worthwhile in the context of that literature. It's stressful and really brought on the impostor syndrome for me, and I think unfortunately I feel a bit of a similar tendency when it comes to writing fic, especially in the Tolkien fandom because there is so much to know. I sometimes feel like I ought to be able to pass some sort of Tolkien fanfic writing qualifying exam before I can feel confident in writing and contributing to this community. Of course, I know that is anxiety talking, so I try not to listen to those thoughts in their entirety, but as an academic, I still feel a strong urge to really research everything I'm writing about and ensure that it is canon compliant and logically sound.
This brings me to my answer to the second part of that question, which is a slightly silly one but for Chapter 5 and 6 of my current WIP, there are scenes where Faramir and Éowyn separately look outside at night, and I got really down a rabbit hole of figuring out what phase of the moon and what constellations would be visible on the evening of March 20 TA3019. I was prepared to ctrl F "moon" in my LOTR PDF and try to trace it out myself, but I was spared from doing that by some wonderful redditor who had already taken the time to detail the phases of the moon for all of TA3018 and 3019. I thought that was a very neat thing for someone to have done, so major props to that anonymous person on the internet, and I learned that I am not the only one who is preoccupied with tracking fictional celestial events.
19. what are some books or authors that influenced your style the most? Another great question! I think I am still developing my style, but a few major influences (aside from Tolkien himself, obviously) would be Hala Alyan and Mary Oliver's poetry. Hala Alyan is a Palestinian-American author who writes contemporary fiction about families navigating diaspora and displacement in the Middle East. I love the emotional intimacy and psychological depth that she writes for each of her characters; her characters have such believable flaws and strengths and experiences. When I finish one of her novels, I feel almost like her characters are real people whom I have gotten to know. I aspire to write as real and convincing characters as she does.
Meanwhile, Mary Oliver's poetry is also a huge influence to me, although perhaps in a way that is less easy to articulate. I just love the way that Oliver writes about nature and life and hope. I know her poetry speaks to many, many people, and I am no exception. I hope to be able to infuse my writing with that same sense of hope and fortitude; as well as with that reverence for natural world.
Thank you so much again for this ask! I greatly enjoyed responding to these.

Real Talk: Why Online Classes for New Parents Beat Googling at 2 AM
Tumblr media
1. Introduction: Because Google Doesn’t Tuck You In at Night
Becoming a parent is magical—but also messy, loud, unpredictable, and full of midnight questions. And what’s the first thing most of us do when panic hits at 2 AM? We Google.
The problem? Google gives you a hundred answers—most conflicting. That’s where online classes for new parents save the day (and your sanity).
2. The Problem with DIY Googling
Yes, it’s free. Yes, it’s instant. But it’s also:
Overwhelming: Dozens of tabs and no clear answers
Unreliable: Not all sources are credible
Stress-inducing: Every rash becomes a worst-case scenario
Emotionally draining: Endless scrolling makes sleep even harder
You don’t need more information—you need the right information.
3. Online Classes: Clear, Structured, and Backed by Experts
Instead of combing the internet, you can:
Watch a 10-minute lesson on baby gas or reflux
Learn swaddling from a pediatric nurse
Review CPR basics during naptime
Build your confidence through structured guidance
All of it without ads, pop-ups, or random strangers arguing in comment sections.
4. Courses Tailored to the Real Questions Parents Have
The best online classes for new parents answer questions like:
How do I know if my baby’s breathing is normal?
When should I worry about a fever?
What’s the best way to burp a newborn?
How do I survive sleep regressions?
What’s a developmental red flag?
All explained in plain language, with real examples.
5. Sleep-Deprived? You Can Still Learn
The beauty of these courses?
Watch at 1 AM, pause at 1:05
Rewind 5 times until it clicks
Share links with your partner so you’re on the same page
Pick up where you left off during the next nap
6. Less Panic = More Presence
When you’re not drowning in contradictory blog posts, you’re able to:
Tune into your baby’s cues
Trust your instincts backed by facts
Relax more, worry less
Parenting is more peaceful when you’re not operating from fear.
7. Not Just for Moms—Everyone Benefits
Dads, partners, grandparents—everyone should know the basics. Many online courses now offer:
Shared accounts for couples
Bonus material for caregivers
Downloadable PDFs for quick reference
The more your support system knows, the better your baby’s care.
Conclusion: Stop Scrolling, Start Learning
Google is great for dinner recipes. But when it comes to baby care, sleep, and health—it’s time to log off and level up.
With online classes for new parents, you’ll stop second-guessing and start parenting with purpose.
Want expert-led guidance without the confusion? Head over to parentmed.co.uk and explore their live and on-demand classes created by NHS pediatricians. Your future self (and your well-rested baby) will thank you.

New AI Models Make More Mistakes, Creating Risk for Marketers via @sejournal, @MattGSouthern https://ift.tt/huaUNEk The newest AI tools, built to be smarter, make more factual errors than older versions. As The New York Times highlights, tests show errors as high as 79% in advanced systems from companies like OpenAI. This can create problems for marketers who rely on these tools for content and customer service. Rising Error Rates in Advanced AI Systems Recent tests reveal a trend: newer AI systems are less accurate than their predecessors. OpenAI’s latest system, o3, got facts wrong 33% of the time when answering questions about people. That’s twice the error rate of their previous system. Its o4-mini model performed even worse, with a 48% error rate on the same test. For general questions, the results (PDF link) were: OpenAI’s o3 made mistakes 51% of the time The o4-mini model was wrong 79% of the time Similar problems appear in systems from Google and DeepSeek. Amr Awadallah, CEO of Vectara and former Google executive, tells The New York Times: “Despite our best efforts, they will always hallucinate. That will never go away.” Real-World Consequences For Businesses These aren’t just abstract problems. Real businesses are facing backlash when AI gives wrong information. Last month, Cursor (a tool for programmers) faced angry customers when its AI support bot falsely claimed users couldn’t use the software on multiple computers. This wasn’t true. The mistake led to canceled accounts and public complaints. Cursor’s CEO, Michael Truell, had to step in: “We have no such policy. You’re of course free to use Cursor on multiple machines.” Why Reliability Is Declining Why are newer AI systems less accurate? According to a New York Times report, the answer lies in how they’re built. Companies like OpenAI have used most of the available internet text for training. Now they’re using “reinforcement learning,” which involves teaching AI through trial and error. This approach helps with math and coding, but seems to hurt factual accuracy. Researcher Laura Perez-Beltrachini explained: “The way these systems are trained, they will start focusing on one task—and start forgetting about others.” Another issue is that newer AI models “think” step-by-step before answering. Each step creates another chance for mistakes. These findings are concerning for marketers using AI for content, customer service, and data analysis. AI content with factual errors could hurt your search rankings and brand. Pratik Verma, CEO of Okahu, tells the New York Times: “You spend a lot of time trying to figure out which responses are factual and which aren’t. Not dealing with these errors properly basically eliminates the value of AI systems.” Protecting Your Marketing Operations Here’s how to safeguard your marketing: Have humans review all customer-facing AI content Create fact-checking processes for AI-generated material Use AI for structure and ideas rather than facts Consider AI tools that cite sources (called retrieval-augmented generation) Create clear steps to follow when you spot questionable AI information The Road Ahead Researchers are working on these accuracy problems. OpenAI says it’s “actively working to reduce the higher rates of hallucination” in its newer models. Marketing teams need their own safeguards while still using AI’s benefits. Companies with strong verification processes will better balance AI’s efficiency with the need for accuracy. Finding this balance between speed and correctness will remain one of digital marketing’s biggest challenges as AI continues to evolve. CourseReel AI Max Review: The Real Story – What Works & What Doesn’t
Tumblr media
I am a creator myself who’s been helping people with copywriting for the last 4 years. Trust me, people are making 10x more in the industry by selling courses than providing services. And it kills me when I see people, who joined in far later, have much less experience, making 2x more than I do. Just by selling courses. As a sole man in the army, it is not practically possible for me to script the course, video edit it, format pdfs and then market it to my TG; all while also providing services to my existing clients.
<<< Create & sell video courses effortlessly with CourseReel! >>>
And it’s just then I really wished I could put this course creation on automation and make some bucks while not burning myself out. It’s exactly when I came across an AI tool (thanks to the microphone in my phone that leaks out data, lol) that designs, creates, and distributes courses in any format—videos, PDFs, eBooks on autopilot. The tool is CourseReel AI Max. This tool takes your idea or literally one keyword and turns it into a polished, market-ready course without the headache. Well, this is all that the CourseReel AI Max promises. But does it really deliver on its promises? To answer your question, I am writing the CourseReel AI Max review. And in this review, I’ll break down CourseReel AI Max to its very core to assess how it works, does it really work, what the features are, whether it’s worth your investment or just another hyped-up Internet noise. Stick through the end. Let’s dive in.
What is CourseReel AI Max? [include pain points, what it can do and who is it for]
CourseReel AI Max is an AI-backed tool that helps you design, create, market professional video courses and you can further build different formats of your course like eBook and PDFs under a single dashboard operation.
CourseReel AI Max is the OG course creation AI tool on the internet and it is called so for a reason. It helps you create the entire course on a hint of an idea or just a keyword without the hassle of traditional course creation techniques. With just a keyword, it tells you chapters tailored to your niche, then creates an outline of the course, building scripts for each chapter and lastly converting them into customized videos with its ReelEngine editor.
The coolest part is you can upload a photo of yourself and a voice sample, and the AI will create videos where your digital self speaks perfectly lip-synced to your own voice. It adds a human touch and makes your course feel more personal and engaging for your audience.
With such customization, CourseReel AI Max really takes the quality of your video course to a professional human-like level. <<< Create & sell video courses effortlessly with CourseReel! >>>
No, you don’t have to take my word for it. Hear it from the people who are already making $$ by using CourseReel AI Max:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The ugly side of CourseReel
CourseReel AI Max is not a magic button that brings out a perfect course while you sip coffee. Because it is a tool, not a replacement for human brains. It can generate structured, niche-tailored content but you still need to refine ideas, add personal insights, and ensure quality control. It does save time and some effort but you still have to shape it into something truly valuable. I mean, take it this way—a hammer does the job, but it is the right stroke by the blacksmith that turns raw metal into a masterpiece.
So, my advice for you would be to use it like your smart assistant to get best results.
Who shouldn’t buy CourseReel?
CourseReel AI Max is not for you if you’re expecting 100% hands-off course creation with zero effort. While the tool does automate a major chunk of the process including generating scripts, building content structure, creating videos and distribution; it still requires your creativity and final refinements. If you rely solely on AI, you might end up on a generic course that fails to make big dollars. And any successful course needs a human touch to sell great and if you’re looking for a push-button money machine– you better look somewhere else.
<<< Create & sell video courses effortlessly with CourseReel! >>>
Honest Conclusion
CourseReel AI Max is a powerful time-saver but not a complete replacement for effort. It automates 90% of the video course creation work (even goes beyond with eBooks and PDFs), plus, it is integrated with giant AI models like GPT-4, Claude, and Gemini (that saves you $300 monthly). You still need to fine-tune, personalize and add your expertise to make your course profitable and compelling. If you’re looking for a tool to streamline course creation, it’s a game-changer. If you want a magic button for passive income, you’ll be disappointed.

Explained: The Step-by-Step Process of Online Notary Services
Tumblr media
Are you tired of the traditional way of getting documents notarized? In today's digital age, online notary services offer a convenient and efficient alternative. This article will guide you through the step-by-step process of utilizing online notary services, allowing you to save time and complete your notarization needs from the comfort of your home.
Embracing the Convenience of Online Notary Services
In the past, getting a document notarized involved finding a notary public, traveling to their office, and waiting for your turn. However, with the emergence of remote online notary services, the notarization process has become more streamlined and accessible. Online notary services enable individuals to remotely connect with a certified notary public through secure digital platforms, eliminating the need for a physical presence. Let's explore how this innovative solution works.
Understanding the Concept of Remote Online Notary Services
Online notary services leverage advanced technologies to provide a secure and efficient way of notarizing documents remotely. These services utilize secure online platforms where users can upload their documents, verify their identity, and engage in live video sessions with a certified notary public. By adhering to the laws and regulations governing notarization, online notary services ensure the legality and validity of the notarized documents.
Step 1: Finding a Reputable Online Notary Service Provider
To begin the process, you need to find a reputable and best online notary service provider. Conduct thorough research and consider factors such as their reputation, customer reviews, pricing, and the security measures they employ. Look for a provider that complies with legal requirements and offers a user-friendly interface for a seamless experience.
Step 2: Creating an Account
Once you've selected a suitable remote online notary service provider, create an account on their platform. This typically involves providing your basic information and agreeing to the terms and conditions. Some providers may require additional identity verification steps to ensure the security and integrity of the notarization process.
Step 3: Uploading Your Document
After setting up your account, you can proceed to upload the document that needs to be notarized. Most online notary service platforms support various formats, such as PDF, Word, or image files. Ensure that the document is complete and error-free before uploading it.
Step 4: Identity Verification
To prevent fraud and maintain the authenticity of the process, Remote Online Notarization services require identity verification. This step may involve providing personal information, answering security questions, or uploading identification documents. The online notary service provider will validate your identity to ensure you are the authorized person signing the document.
Step 5: Scheduling a Notary Session
Once your identity is verified, you can schedule a notary session with a certified notary public. Virtual notary service platforms typically provide a range of available time slots. Select a convenient time that suits your schedule, ensuring you have a stable internet connection and a compatible device for the video session.
Step 6: Participating in the Notary Session
At the scheduled time, join the notary session through the online platform. The session will involve a live video call with the notary public, during which you will interact and complete the notarization process. Be prepared to present your identification documents and answer any questions posed by the notary public to verify your identity and intent.
Step 7: Digital Notarization and Seal
During the notary session, the certified notary public will electronically sign and affix their official seal to the document. This digital signature and seal serve as the notary's acknowledgment of the document's authenticity and legality. The digital notarization process ensures that the document cannot be tampered with and provides a clear audit trail for future reference.
Step 8: Receiving the Notarized Document
Once the notarization process is complete, you will receive the notarized document in digital format. Online notary service providers usually send the document via email or provide a download link within their platform. Make sure to save the notarized document securely and keep multiple copies for your records.
Experience the future of notary services with the eNotary On Call Remote Online Notarization platform. Visit our website today to explore our services and get started with your online notarization.

Cost-effective: Virtual notary services often have competitive pricing, eliminating travel costs associated with traditional notarization.
Accessibility: Best online notary services ensure that individuals with mobility issues or living in remote areas can easily access notarization services.
Ensuring Security and Legality
Online notary services prioritize security and adhere to legal requirements to maintain the integrity of the notarization process. They employ encryption techniques, identity verification measures, and audit trails to protect sensitive information and ensure the legality of the notarized documents.
Online Notary Services: Cost and Accessibility
The cost of online notary services varies depending on the service provider and the complexity of the document. Generally, online notary platforms offer competitive pricing, often lower than traditional notary services. The accessibility of mobile notary services makes them an attractive option for individuals seeking a convenient and affordable notarization process.
The Future of Notarization: Technology and Innovation

Online notary services are expected to incorporate emerging technologies such as blockchain and artificial intelligence, further enhancing security, efficiency, and accessibility. These advancements will revolutionize the notarization process, making it more seamless and globally accessible.

Comments: thoughts, types, how-tos, and etiquette (part 2 of 4)
This is better read sequentially, but you can skip to any section. They are as numbered:
1) The basics
2) Thoughts on comment culture
3) Types of comments
4) Writing cohesive and coherent comments
5) Etiquette
6) Technical questions
7) Short-answer questions
8) Long-answer questions
Part 1: Sections 1 and 2.
Part 2: Sections 3 and 4 (you are here).
Part 3: Sections 5 and 6.
Part 4: Sections 7 and 8.
PDF version here, containing the whole thing. It has a table of contents and cute formatting.
♥ 3: Types of comments ♥
Comments are detailed below with a description and examples. I wrote all the examples. They might be based on comments I’ve seen, but aren’t real ones left by readers.
3.1 Emojis, keysmashes, second kudos, and not-so-verbal comments
Usually short. Might be hard to make heads or tails of them. If it’s all emojis/kaomojis, the comment is likely trying to express the reader’s emotions. The keysmash is internet “slang” for speechless or at a loss for words, but strong feelings about the thing, often positive. Second kudos are also emojis, but heart emojis, imitating the kudos/favorite button.
Example(s):
“😭😭😭😭😭😭” “ヽ(♡‿♡)ノ” “skjhgsdkfljgsdlkgfsjdh” “❤️” “!!!?????!!!!??????”
3.2 Short positive comments
One or two sentences expressing appreciation about the whole fic or some aspect of it.
Example(s):
“Loved it, thanks for sharing!” “This chapter is everything. Good to see this pairing more often in the fandom.”
3.3 Medium and long positive comments
Longer than the previous ones. Might delve into detailed opinions, quote the fic back to the author, and contain a deeper analysis of something.
Example(s):
“I’ve been reading this fic since day one. The writing is stellar and the characterization is on point. It’s good to see things getting finally resolved. Those two deserve peace and quiet in each other’s arms, after all.” “Ok, so it’s 3 am and I totally should be sleeping. My finals start tomorrow, and I was scribbling a few notes for an assignment, but I couldn’t resist this update. 5k words? How come?? The plot twist was SOMETHING ELSE. I don’t wanna spoil the other readers who might see this, so take my word for it and GO READ. When we thought we were done getting into her flashbacks, we get THAT. OH MY GOD. What will be of me until the next update? (probably a sleepless mess because broke college student juggling two jobs) LOL see you anytime, your writing is a blessing to this world.”
3.4 Constructive criticism (concrit)
Concrit points out flaws in whatever the reader can find them, and provides ways to improve the fic. Ideally, it’s a polite, considerate comment, but might not be.
Example(s):
“While I love the premise, worldbuilding, and first act, I think it’s a bit dragged out from chapter 5 onwards. Stories like yours could use faster pacing and less domesticity. If you trim the less relevant scenes and turn them into extras (maybe posted as one-shots in a series), it’ll flow a lot better. Also, be sure to use a spellchecker. English is hard. I know you’re not a native speaker, so that’s why I’m suggesting it. This fic will be a hit, you just have to polish it, to make it shine its brightest. HMU if you need help, and good luck!”
3.5 Pure criticism
Simply state an opinion, not ways to improve. Ideally, it’s polite, but might not be.
Example(s):
“It reads very amateurish, repeats many clichés from the fandom, and the characterization is off. I was in for the tags, ends up it’s not great.”
3.6 Hate/harassment, demanding updates, unwanted comments
Comments that try to bring the author down, attack them, demand faster updates, are impolite in general, or outright creepy. Might contain swear words and threats.
Example(s):
“lol this fic is trash, don’t waste your time” “I bet you live in your mom’s basement to this day and will never get a girlfriend” “Why don’t you post the next chapter already? It’s been a month. We’re all waiting” “Ugh, such disgusting content, what to expect from shippers of that pairing?” “Write even one more chapter, and I’ll doxx you” “Quick question, do you have an OnlyFans?”
3.7 Requests/prompts
Ask if the author could write a specific thing or suggests ideas for a fic.
Example(s):
“Could you write more one-shots of them? I need this pairing in my life.” “Put them all in a high fantasy AU, each one from a different race, competing for the throne. Three parts minimum. It’ll be awesome in your style and I want to see it.”
♥ 4: Writing cohesive and coherent comments ♥
AKA “I don’t know how to write X type of comment, help me”.
If you need further help, check the Long Live Feedback (LLF) Comment Builder.
4.1 Types I’m not going to cover and why
I’m not going to teach you how to write “pure criticism” and “hate/harassment” comments. Section 3 had a guide on identifying them, not encouragement to write it.
Pure criticism can be “an opinion”. Sure, “critic” is a job, like film critics, book critics, etc. There’s also such a thing as a nice opinion. However, I’d like to keep it positive. I don’t want to teach you how to tear a fic down without teaching you how to tell the author ways to do better. It might scare people away from fandom, especially newbies and/or insecure writers. Avoid criticizing total strangers (do it to friends who take it well, and it’s none of my business). You don’t know who’s behind the screen and the hardships they’re facing. Be kind.
I don’t need to go into detail about why teaching how to bully and harass others online is a bad idea. It’s unavoidable to come across hate comments on the internet. Anonymity makes people think they’re free to say as they please. Be the change the world needs to see.
If you do end up spreading hate online, I hope you face consequences, learn from your mistakes, quit doing it, and find something healthier to pass the time.
4.2 Not-so-verbal comments (emojis, keysmashes, second kudos…)
Emojis/kaomojis: send the ones that best represent your emotions.
Keysmash: type lots of incoherent letters without any words.
Second kudos: send heart emojis, maybe with “second kudos!” written as well.
4.3 Short positive comments
“Loved it!” or “great/amazing fic!” are fail-proof. You can also add “thanks for sharing”, “Love this [ship/plot/trope/other]”, “your style is great”, and other things you can think.
4.4 Medium and long positive comments
You can open comments with things like:
What you were doing when you found the fic (at school/work? procrastinating? looking for a rarepair? looking for a specific tag/theme?);
What time of the day it was;
Stating if you’re a newcomer to their works or not;
Other things you can think of.
There are a few things you can praise:
Writing style;
Characterization/development;
Plot;
Pacing;
Dialogue;
Being engaging;
Being original;
Other things you can think of.
You can proceed with:
Quoting your favorite lines of the fic;
Mentioning if you usually read that type of fic or not;
Saying if a scene made you cry/laugh;
Saying if a scene will stick with you for a while;
If it’s your favorite fic of that pairing/tag/theme;
If it’s your favorite fic of that fandom;
If it’s your favorite fic ever;
Other things you can think of.
4.5 Constructive criticism (concrit)
This one needs a little more structuring.
Create a document somewhere. Google Docs, Word, Notes app, etc.;
List strengths. Writing style? Characterization? Plot? Character development? Pacing? Dialogue? Spelling, punctuation, grammar? Being engaging? Being original? Others?;
List weaknesses. Same list as above;
Try to come up with ways the author could improve on the weaknesses. Grammar and the like? Spellcheckers. The plot structure is on the weaker side? Studying storytelling and structure. Robotic dialogue? Paying attention to real conversations, and so on;
Then, use a model like this if you want:
[These are all the things that I think are good, and don’t need to change.] [Next, these are the things I think need more work.] [These are ways they can do it better, and solutions for the problems I found.] [Here, you wish the best of luck to them, reassure them you’re doing it out of liking the fic, and state your intention to help them if they need it again.] [If they need further feedback, and you’re willing to do it, leave your contact info.]
4.6 Requests/prompts
If the author hasn’t stated publicly that they take requests/fill prompts, don’t send them uninvited. Always ask first. If they respond positively, proceed. If they don’t, it’s nothing personal. Some aren’t good with prompts or have no time/desire to write them.
Some authors provide sheets for requests or list things they will/won’t write. If there is a sheet, fill it out and send it. If they don't write something, don’t insist they do.
If it’s a request, be polite and non-demanding. Phrase it like “could you write this?” or “would you be open to writing that?”. Never “5k fic of this/that character doing this, ready by tomorrow night”, you’re not their boss. Preferably, thank them for their time and effort.
If it’s a prompt, provide enough information, not too much information. Don’t go overboard on details: the author won’t be able to elaborate with their personal touch. You’re asking them specifically to write it, so in theory, you want their take, not just your ideas.
If you want a specific thing to be out of the fic, state it, especially if there’s a chance the author could add it because it’d fit the context. For example, in a car accident prompt, someone dying isn’t out of place. Don’t want any deaths? Tell them.
An example of a weak prompt:
“Write a one-shot about Main Character.”
An example of a well-rounded prompt:
“Three years after canon ends, Main Character and Side Character #1 see Character Dead in Canon walking on the street on a Friday night. Character Dead in Canon didn’t seem to notice them, then entered the most suspicious nightclub. No smut/incest, please.”
An example of a too-detailed prompt:
“What if Main Character woke up, checked their phone, and there is a text message demanding they get to work at 7:35 am? Their former boss requested they deal with this, this, and this activity they used to do. However, they’ve been retired for years, since they were deemed unfit to work. Thing is, their boss has a miracle solution for the health issue they’re facing, but their boss isn’t going to tell them about the solution until they arrive at the office. I’d like it to be 30k words minimum, it should include spicy scenes here and there, but nothing explicit. Their car should be red. Their cat is a Maine Coon named Salt. They are dating me specifically. I am 165 cm tall, my weight is 60 kg…”

Cheaters never win
Jean was an expert at cheating. That was her thing.
It didn't matter what kind of exam, what kind of certification, what kind of test -- if it was a data processing test, she'd cheat by implementing her own small programs on her computer, and running those programs to input the data. If it was a piano exam, she'd open the lid and plink out whatever was inside the piano. (She'd done this in all the practice rooms -- she'd mastered the piano and was quite good at it, but was too lazy to learn any real music.) If it was academic or literary, she'd compose all her work in a certain text editor that let you solve puzzles and answer questions without having to write them in (it had a built-in version of the Sherlock solver, and a couple others Jean had developed herself), and then compile a copy of the text in a little-known format and save it as a PDF in a hidden folder. If it was a sex exam, she would take drugs to make her cooperate a bit better.
All of this was basic stuff for Jean, and all this was morally wrong. But her guilt was accompanied by a kind of satisfaction, for two reasons.
One was that cheating was the sort of thing someone had to get good at, to beat. The best at the game. It was like writing at the top of a physics exam and filling in "e = 42" at the end. It was a mark of mastery, by someone who mastered it. You were the best at cheating -- you were a cheater -- and that was good. Jean liked that very much.
The other reason was that, in a way, cheating had a certain elegance to it. Many tests consisted of multiple-choice questions, and many of those questions were built to trick you. Jean loved to answer a problem and then write down, as her answer, what the test was fishing for as the "correct" answer. That wasn't always easy to do. She had to know a certain amount of real stuff to be able to answer questions correctly, and sometimes she didn't know enough.
But when she did get it right, then she could explain to the test how it was that she, the cheater, had managed to produce the correct answer -- explaining to the test how it was that it was being tricked.
It felt to her like showing the trick behind the trick, like showing off her own cleverness, like pulling a clever little prop out of her pocket and waving it around and saying see? -- and she loved it. She could be a trickster, a magician, a bullshitter, a secret authority within the game of fooling people. She could watch the trick be played and then play her own trick. And she loved it.
What Jean did not love was being caught, and the test authors did not like to be cheated at. And sometimes the test authors would devise a new kind of test, a test that wasn't in her pocket, a test she couldn't recognize, a test that made it impossible for her to get a result that she could recognize.
Jean had a beautiful but terrible childhood. In the 1980s, when she was born, the birth of the fad of cheating was like the birth of the video game fad -- long before, of course, video games and cheating existed. A very famous cheating software called ChEAT, written by an anonymous hacker, was published on the Internet and then on floppy disks, and cheating followed in its wake. Jean's parents were young at the time, and both of them cheated and liked it. They bought ChEAT when it was on floppy disks, and as children Jean and her sister were shown how to use it by their parents, with the understanding that the things they were doing were tricking the school.
This was a very uncomfortable thought, and led to a certain amount of resentment in Jean. Cheating was something her parents did that Jean could never do. Her parents knew how to get good grades without learning anything, but Jean didn't know how to get bad grades without learning anything. This was annoying to her. In her teenage years, when they talked to her about it, Jean's parents made it seem like cheating was a natural part of the school experience, but it was really something they did because they liked it -- something that seemed like a natural part of life to them, but was not.
When Jean was 16, it was learned that ChEAT could be reverse-engineered. The source code was cleaned up by a team of programmers and published on the Internet, and repackaged as a long string of free, open-source, anonymous-contributor software releases, each new version a little better than the last. Soon these programs began to be called "scripts," and those programs were both easier to use and harder to reverse-engineer.
One of these scripts, a script that didn't require any hacking at all, simply required a computer, was called SACRIFICE. Because there was no actual trick to it, it could not be replicated. It worked by using an X-10 input to the computer, and then having the software register a button click once a second. This meant the computer could be left alone for very long periods of time, without any changes to its appearance.
One day, when Jean was about 19, she found herself without a book. The bookstore where she used to go was closed. Jean did not like to use the library, because the librarians had always given her a hard time.
So she did what she usually did, when she was studying a subject she needed to know and could not remember. She searched Google for cheat software, and found a short list of terms that might be a good keyword to use. (As the hackers say: "probe a little, then poke a lot.") And she searched for a script that would be a good general-purpose cheat, something that would work no matter how complex the test was, something that would be safe and easy to use, something that she could try on everything.
And she found the right thing.
She found SACRIFICE, and bought it for $5, a quarter of what her parents would have paid in the 1980s when it was a floppy disk, a fifth of what they would have paid when it was a hacker-distributed "script." She bought it for her computer, and when she needed to use it, she took the computer to a bookstore, and left it there. Jean had learned to buy books by going into a bookstore and taking a pen and paper, sitting down, and writing down the title and author of the book you wanted, and then walking out with it in hand.
But that was a trick you had to practice, and she hadn't practiced the trick lately. So she wasn't very good at it.
She took the computer to a bookstore, and left it in the back.
Jean knew that the test questions were coming -- that the test that was approaching was going to be hard -- and she was having trouble sleeping. She was normally asleep in bed, asleep in dreams, but she was not asleep. And so she got up, and she went to her computer.
And she used SACRIFICE, while she knew it was in a bookstore -- while she knew it could be found and taken away and used against her.
And she did this anyway. And she did it because she knew it would be hard. She knew that a very hard test was coming. And she would not get good grades without SACRIFICE, because the test would be hard. And the test had to be beaten, and it had to be beaten --
And she saw the light.
She saw the light when she came out of the bookstore. It was a green light, and it was sitting on a small table in a small booth in the bookstore -- a booth with two chairs. And she sat down and put her computer in one of the chairs, and found the SACRIFICE software and activated it, and unplugged the computer's cable.
And when she looked up, there was a girl in the other chair. The girl was small and light-skinned and black-haired and blonde, and was also wearing a robe. Her robe was blue and floated behind her, as if by magic. And in her hand, the girl held a sword.
Jean looked at the girl in the other chair.
She looked at the girl in the other chair, holding the sword, and she looked at the light -- and she looked at the light, and she saw the light, and she said to herself, "It is a sword."
She said this, and she thought, "It is a blade of light, a sword of light, a sword that is a blade of light, like a flaming sword, a blade of fire."
And she saw the light, and she said, "It is a blade, and it is also a blade."
And she said, "It is magic. It is a flaming sword."
